Senior HR Consultant

Tina Retana is a strategic HR leader with over 25 years of experience guiding multi-state operations across hospitality, government, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors. She has led HR for organizations with up to 10,000 employees, driving success in union negotiations, talent strategy, compliance, and HRIS integration—including Paylocity, Workday and Salesforce.

A California native and military spouse, Tina brings both heart and strategy to her work. She is the founder of Youth Branching Out, a nonprofit providing life skills programming for teens focused on financial literacy, wellness, and career readiness.

Tina, who is fluent in Spanish, holds an MBA in HR Management, is SPHR-certified, and actively serves as Membership Chair for Kiwanis of Plaquemines Parish. She is also involved in the Business Network International-Belle Chasse (BNI), the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Louisiana (HCCL), and the New Orleans Chapter of SHRM (NOLA-SHRM). When she’s not working or volunteering, Tina enjoys gardening and spending time with her two children and three grandchildren.
