Fall HR priorities are coming into focus: benefits enrollment, workplace safety, AI expectations and year-end reviews. Start with the checklist below, then explore guidance to help your team prepare.

  1. Plan enrollment communications. Confirm dates, required actions and a contact for benefits questions.
  2. Review holiday coverage. Identify PTO and staffing gaps before November and December.
  3. Refresh safety instructions. Confirm how employees report hazards and who follows up.
  4. Clarify AI expectations. Share approved tools, data restrictions and review requirements.
  5. Prepare managers. Set the year-end review calendar and distribute guidance.
  6. Start planning for 2027. Identify staffing, benefits and leadership development priorities.

Give employees a clear path from reviewing their options to completing their elections. A concise enrollment guide should answer three questions:

  • What do I need to do, and by when? State enrollment dates, required steps and what happens if employees take no action.
  • What is changing? Explain plan options, costs and coverage changes in plain language, including when elections take effect.
  • Where can I get help? Name a benefits contact and share instructions for accessing enrollment resources.

Use your applicable plan information to confirm every date and detail. Delta Administrative Services with Gotcha Covered HR can help employers coordinate benefits administration and employee communication.

Use a fall safety review to turn established procedures into clear, current instructions employees can follow.

  • Check emergency readiness. Review evacuation procedures and confirm employee access to instructions.
  • Review hazards and reporting. Look for recurring incident patterns and clarify reporting and follow-up responsibilities.
  • Close training gaps. Check documentation and refresh onboarding for new or seasonal employees.

Through Delta Administrative Services, employers can access safety and risk management support, including resources from Plenum, to help strengthen workplace preparedness.

Give employees practical guidance before AI use becomes part of an undocumented routine. Start with three clear expectations:

  • Approved tools and uses. Explain which tools employees may use and for what work.
  • Information boundaries. Specify what employee, customer and company data must stay out of AI tools.
  • Human review. Clarify who checks accuracy, when approval is required and where employees can raise concerns.

Gotcha Covered HR’s Leadership & AI Readiness Training Program helps leaders and teams prepare for the people, policy and workplace implications of AI.

September 15–October 15 is an opportunity to recognize Hispanic and Latino histories, cultures and contributions in your workplace and community.

Consider sharing educational resources or highlighting employee perspectives through voluntary participation. Invite employees to suggest meaningful ways to recognize the month.

Delta Administrative Services has been named a 2026 Empowering Women honoree by New Orleans CityBusiness, recognizing its commitment to supporting and advancing women in the workplace and community. Congratulations to our fellow honorees.
