September Newsletter – 2025

Fall is a turning point. As teams refocus after summer, HR leaders are juggling open enrollment, year-end planning, and compliance updates. This month’s HR Pulse brings you quick insights, helpful tips, and trends to keep your workplace running smoothly into Q4.

WEvery workplace faces challenges — whether it’s bridging generational gaps, managing change, or developing new managers. That’s why our Training, Coaching & Development Solutions are designed to be flexible, practical, and tailored to your organization’s goals.

This fall, we’re highlighting three workshops that can make an immediate impact: Generational Dynamics in the Workplace to improve collaboration across age groups, Strategic Time Management to help teams prioritize what matters most, and Coaching & Mentoring Fundamentals to equip leaders to guide and grow their teams.

From one-on-one executive coaching to team workshops and leadership development programs, we help leaders resolve conflict, engage employees, and create environments where people can thrive.

From September 15 to October 15, workplaces across the country recognize Hispanic Heritage Month — a time to honor the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. For HR leaders, it’s also an opportunity to strengthen workplace inclusion and ensure that all employees have the resources they need to thrive.

One area where many organizations can make an impact is through bilingual support. Clear communication is essential for safety, compliance, and engagement. Offering bilingual training materials, employee handbooks, or access to HR professionals who can bridge language gaps helps build trust and reduces the risk of misunderstandings.

At Delta Administrative Services and Gotcha Covered HR, we work with businesses to create training and HR solutions that meet employees where they are — whether that means adapting content, providing bilingual resources, or designing inclusive programs that strengthen workplace culture.

With benefits season approaching, now’s the time to get ahead. Confirm plan updates with carriers, refresh employee communication materials, and set clear timelines and deadlines. Early preparation ensures a smoother rollout and a better employee experience.

Employers must verify that new hires are authorized to work in the U.S. While Form I-9 is required, some organizations also choose to use E-Verify — a federal program that checks I-9 data against government records.

The benefits include quick results, smoother onboarding integration, and stronger compliance defense. But there are also drawbacks, such as system errors, privacy concerns, and extra management requirements. Employers are still subject to I-9 audits, and the system goes offline during federal shutdowns.

Looking ahead, DHS has launched E-Verify+, a pilot program that could eventually streamline I-9 and E-Verify into one process. For now, it’s wise to consult HR or legal experts before deciding if E-Verify is the right fit for your organization.

AI-powered recruiting tools are becoming more common, helping HR teams scan resumes, schedule interviews, and even assess candidate fit. These tools can significantly reduce time-to-hire and free up HR professionals to focus on relationship building and strategic planning.

But with new efficiencies come new challenges. Without oversight, AI can unintentionally embed bias, leading to compliance risks under equal employment laws. Employers must also be transparent with candidates about when and how AI is used in the hiring process.

The best approach? Treat AI as a support tool, not a decision-maker. Use it to speed up administrative tasks, but ensure people — not algorithms — make final hiring decisions. And before adopting AI solutions, review policies carefully to confirm they align with EEOC guidelines and state laws on automated employment decision tools.

Proactive Steps for Employers

  • Audit AI recruiting tools for potential bias and accuracy.
  • Be transparent with candidates about AI usage in the hiring process.
  • Keep final hiring decisions in the hands of managers, not technology.

By balancing innovation with accountability, businesses can gain the benefits of AI in recruiting while protecting fairness, compliance, and company culture.

A time to honor the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. Consider highlighting cultural awareness in your workplace and ensuring resources, training, and communications are inclusive and accessible.

The end of the quarter is the perfect time to review payroll accuracy, confirm tax filings, and ensure compliance reporting is up to date. A proactive review now helps avoid errors and surprises at year-end.

Many states introduce new employment laws at the start of the fiscal year. From minimum wage adjustments to leave policy changes, HR teams should double-check updates for every state where employees are based. Staying ahead ensures compliance and prevents costly mistakes.
